Google Lyria 3 Is Now on AI Edit

**Google Lyria 3** and **Lyria 3 Pro** are now available on **AI Edit** - and they're probably the most capable music generation models we've added yet.

The idea is simple: describe the music you want, and it generates it. Genre, instruments, tempo, mood, key - the more specific you are, the better the result. You can go from "*melancholic lo-fi piano at 80 BPM*" to a full orchestral piece. Vocals and lyrics work too, and if you prompt in a different language, you get lyrics in that language.

Not sure how to describe what you want? **AI Edit** can generate the prompt and lyrics for you - just tell it what you're going for in plain words and it'll handle the technical description before passing it to the model.

> There's also something genuinely unusual here — you can feed it up to 10 images as inspiration and it composes music based on what it sees. Not a gimmick, actually useful if you're scoring visuals or trying to match a specific aesthetic.

The two models serve different needs. **Lyria 3** generates **30-second** clips at 48kHz stereo - good for quick ideas, sound snippets, and testing. **Lyria 3 Pro** goes up to around **3 minutes** of full-length music with proper song structure: verses, choruses, bridges. You can even use timestamps to control exactly when instruments come in and when lyrics are delivered.
