New Image Models on AI Edit: GPT Image 2.5 and Nano Banana 2.1

Three new image models are now available on **AI Edit** - two from OpenAI and one from Google.

**GPT Image 2.5** is OpenAI's newest image model, and it comes in two tiers. **Flare** is the fast, balanced one for everyday generation and editing, the tier to reach for while you're iterating. **Sunburst** is the precision tier: it spends more time on each image for extra fidelity on intricate detail, which makes it the better choice for finished work.

Both tiers go up to 4K, accept up to 10 reference images, and offer five quality levels from Low to Max, so you can explore cheaply and raise the quality for the final image.

**Nano Banana 2.1** is the latest model in Google's Nano Banana family. It improves visual design, subject consistency and prompt adherence, and renders text inside images more cleanly. It takes up to 14 reference images, which helps keep a character or product consistent across a whole set, and it also outputs up to 4K.

All three models are live in AI Edit today.
